Hello, Researching ECCLESTON family. I have back to John Eccleston, stonemason, father of Thomas Eccleston (per Thomas's marriage certificate). Would love to learn more about John. As for Thomas, he was born 1842 Standish, Lancashire. Can't find him in 1851. Profession is "Sinker of Coal Mines". 1861 he is living as a lodger in Rainford as a coal miner. Married Mary Ellen Roberts in 1865 in Ruabon Wrexham Wales. In 1871 they are still in Ruabon. By 1881 they have moved and settled in Bury, Lancashire. In 1891 and 1901 Thomas travels to Canada for work and is sinking coal mines in Nanaimo British Columbia. Sends money home. He returns home to Bury sometime before 1903 where he passes away. Shelley
