I have an Elizabeth Atherton who was born about 1820 in Orrell, she married Samuel Cheetham her fathers name was James. Hi Jane, I have an Atherton connection in my tree. John Flitcroft, weaver of Hindley married Margaret Atherton 20 May 1762 Wigan. Margaret born 3 Jun 1744 Upholland daughter of Edmund Atherton and Margaret. Although these two surnames are probably the most plentiful surnames in Lancashre, I would dearly love to connect with anyone else researching these families.......... William Taylor married Mary Eleanor Jones in Manchester on March 4, 1873. They moved with their young family to Wigan in about 1877. Their children were: Thomas E. Taylor (may have moved to the US) Lily Taylor married William Haynes Elizabeth Taylor married Arthur Stretton Ada Taylor married David Amos Mary E. Taylor Emily Taylor Beatrice Taylor married James Hardman William Taylor Elsie Taylor married George Davies Alfred Taylor Hilda Taylor married David Amos (after her sister Adah died) Cheer!
