    3. Hi Sharron, Try the Wigan History Shop. This is the website. http://www.wlct.org/Culture/Heritage/historyshop.htm They have old newspapers and because you have the date it should not be too hard to find if they have a paper for that date. Joyce -----Original Message----- From: eng-lan-wigan-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:eng-lan-wigan-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Sharron Mavis McKAY Sent: April-23-08 10:59 AM To: ENG-LAN-WIGAN@rootsweb.com Subject: [WIGAN] Newspaper article or Obituary for Benjamin BROWN Hi Everyone This is my first posting to this list so I hope I do this right. I have an ancestor who was a railway goods guard in Lancashire. I knew that he died on the 21 January 1883 in Bolton, Lancashire and I suspected that he may have died doing his job. I recently found on the wiganworld cemetery records website that he was killed on the railways. Could someone please tell me how to go about finding an obituary or maybe a newspaper article on how he actually died. Thanking you in anticipation Sharron McKay Esperance Western Australia ~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~:~ Except for personal messages, please post replies to the list.
