Dear Listers, Your help is required. When I send out information about family history events, I've been sending a copy to each of the Lancashire lists that I admin or co-admin. When I send out notifications of LancashireBMD updates, I usually send them to the lists relevant to the BMDs that have recently been added. Many times I think this may be a waste of my time and RootsWeb archive space because I wind up sending out 10 or 11 copies of the same two messages every month. In order to help me determine if what I'm doing is useful, your assistance is needed. What I would like to know from you is twofold: 1) do you also belong to one of the 'main' (in my mind!) Lancashire lists, i.e., LancsGen, Eng-Liverpool, or Eng-Manchester; and 2) do you want to continue getting copies of the Lancashire BMD update and family history events messages on this particular list? Hi All I'm looking for the family of Thomas Brown born 1872, in Smallthorne, Staffordshire, and living in Wigan in the 1940's. His wife's name was Nancy Twist. Thomas had a daughter Ethel born in 1895 and a son George in 1900. He also had a brother William Brown born in 1875, again in Staffordshire, who was married and again lived in Wigan in the 1940's Both brothers were Coal Miners. Any help would be appreciated.
