I'm trying to piece together my father's adoptive family. He was known as (but not necessarily born as) William Frederick Hunt (always called Fred) and his birth date was believed to be 28/09/1907. I cannot trace any birth reference in this name. It appears he was named after his adoptive grandfather. His adoptive parents were Percy Hunt and Florrie Smythe married at St Peters Warrington 28/06/1902. As far as I'm aware they had no other children. >From the 1881/91/1901 Census details the Hunts appear to be from the Lythgoes Lane area. Does anyone have any other details of the Hunts or Smythes?
