Hi Pauline, The first church post reformation 1700`s? was St Alban Bewsey Street Warrington and it is still there, it also covers Sacred Heart . The next eldest is St. Mary`s Buttermarket St. then St Benedict`s Rhodes St .and Our Lady`s St Marys St. Latchford and St Oswald Padgate Lane. With the exception of St Mary`s (who`s School Closed a few years ago) they all have Junior schools, All B.M.D records are kept at the churches some of the very early records for St Alban`s are held at Preston Records Office, as Warrington used to be in Lancashire pre 1974.
