Many thanks to Stan Smith and Sue Kinsella for their replies to my query. I am now going to order a microfilm of Muster Books into my local LDS, where "fingers crossed" I will find my John McQUADE (McQUEED) who was the father of Charles b.1803 as found in St. Elphins Baptism records. Would love to hear from anyone having information of the McQUADE family from Warrington. Jean in Adelaide has kindly found a baptism for me in 1803 where the father is shown as a "soldier", so I now need to try to trace him. Hope someone can help.
