    1. JERRAM(S)
    2. Hello, I'm not expecting much from this, a bit of a shot in the dark, but if anyone has any ideas.. I was trying to find which branch of the JERRAM family my lot came from. I have traced back my JERRAM line from my great grandmother Elizabeth (born Regents Park, London, 1849). Her dad was in the army there - John JERRAM, (1811) baptised London but born Codnor Park, Derbyshire, for some reason. Rest of his siblings all born and baptised London. His father was Charles JERRAMS (1778), (illiterate, but at this point they spell his name with an S) also in the army (Coldstream Guards) in London, and I fully expected him to have a Derbyshire birthplace. I cannot find him on the 1841census anywhere. He does not appear to be on FamilySearch. Charles was married to an Elizabeth. However, on the 1851, as a Chelsea Pensioner, he has Hope, Flintshire, Wales for birthplace. No baptism for him or anyone of any similar name there. Now his army records have come through, and they say he was born Warrington, Lancashire. I've had a quick glance at earlier Ancestry census searches, and it doesn't seem to be a common local name in any form (eg Jerom, Jerome) from that area. Charles was a weaver before he joined the Coldstream Guards in 1798, aged 19. If anyone knows of/has come across this name or similar in that area, or can see any connection between the two different birthplaces given, please let me know. I'd love to find a baptism, but it looks like a long haul... Thanks Laura
