I have a couple of photos taken in 2002 showing the Ring o' Bells, Church Street if they are of any interest to Maureen. One of which also shows the church house next door and St. Elphins. Sadly there are cars around but it gives the essence of the area. Angie
Hello, I would be most interested to have any photos that listers may have. Is there a www. where the interest is in Warrington Pubs ?. I would so much like a photo of the Packet House Inn - I remember it well and have an artist's impression ot the "Tudor Room" which was added around 1935 when the pub was modernised. As a girl my Grandmother Louisa M Fair would take me to Bowling Greens at various Pubs - she belonged to the Lady Victuallers Bowling Club. Most of her friends were fellow Publicans - the Mullins Family at the "Old House at Home" included. --------------------------------- Expecting? Get great news right away with email Auto-Check. Hi Maureen and all, I have been following the thread of the Packet House Inn and as one of my ancestors a John BLYTH, was the publican in around 1851-55. I would like to obtain any photo's of the same. If there are any perhaps I could be included in "those who would like a copy" cheers Mag Youngman New Zealand ----- Original Message ----- From: "Maureen" <d_mreidau@yahoo.com> To: <eng-lan-warrington@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, February 24, 2007 12:53 PM Subject: Re: [LAN-WARR] Warrington Pubs of 1920 > Hello, I would be most interested to have any photos that listers may have. Hello, Most interested to know that there are other listers with the "Publican Interest. Especially interested to know of John BLYTH via Mag in NZ. Perhaps we could pool our resources (maybe off list) and see what we can come up with. I do not know if Pubs of 1920 was a book or just the title of the research. I also know of someone whose ancestor was at the Packet House in the late 1890s. I did not know it's history went back to mid 1800s. I lived in the Warrington area from birth (1930) to just before WW2. Look forwarde to hearing more. Regards Maureen Qld. Aus. --------------------------------- 8:00? 8:25? 8:40?
