Hi Maureen: Many thanks for your response to my plee. Most of my info was garnered through the 1881 census which showed William's and Jane's birth place as Warrington. Saying that, you and Peter in Sydney, are both pointing me in the direction of Surrey. This may be the reason, that I've been up against a brick wall for the past 6 months. Terry - your help was great too! I must say this first, to everyone on the list - I really didn't know how valuable these "Lists" were until I tried it, and I truly appreciate all the helpful advice I've received since posting. Keep up the good work. I now believe my direction was wrong, and Maureen - if you would be so kind as to forward me the census images offlist, I would greatly appreciate it.
