Good evening Listers, I'm trying to make sense of the educational school system in Warrington when my grandfather attended school there, and I wonder if he could have attended Fairfield School. He was born in 1898, so probably started school around 1904, and then emigrated to the U.S. in 1913. I have checked the list of pupils at the Parochial National School on Church Street, and located his younger brother there, but not my grandfather. In any event, I'm quite sure that my grandfather's school was connected in some way with St. Elphin's Parish Church. Can anyone tell me whether the Fairfield School was an infants school? If that's the case, then there's a good chance that he may have attended that school, which was also connected with St. Elphin's. Has anyone come across directories of students for Fairfield School? Thanks again, Thomas Birchall
