Thanks to the directory assistance of one of our listers, I have pinpointed the location of my g.g. grandfather's hardware store on Church Street. It turns out that the General Wolfe pub (which today is apartments and behind it lies an older person's home) is located at 84 & 86 Church Street. That means that the location of my g.g. grandfather's hardware store at 82 Church St. was immediately next to the General Wolfe pub, which must have been very convenient for that ale-loving generation in my family! (I'm content with my teetotaler position!). In any case, that address is now part of a large parking lot, but I'm grateful for the chance to know exactly where it stood.
