I wonder if anyone has researched Church Street? My great great grandfather had a hardware store at 82 Church Street, and also lived at 72 Church Street. I went back to Warrington and discovered that this street has changed quite drastically with a lot of buildings pulled down, including the above addresses. In fact, I believe there is a parking lot at those locations today. The location is approximately across the street from the old Church of England school that was there at the turn of the century. I have a picture dating to about 1910, with 'T. W. Payton Hardware Store' at 82 Church Street, which was my g.g. grandfather's daughter and son-in-law, who apparently inherited the business from him.
