Hello Marjorie, The church that covers Martinscroft is St Peter`s Weir Lane Woolston Warrington WA1 4QQ the original church was dated1677 the present building is from1835 BMD Certs from 1837 can be obtained from Warrington Registry Office Museum St. There was a Miss Hankinson who taught at St Mary`s School Buttermarket St 1920`s -1950`s School now closed I believe the records are in the Warrington Library which is also in Museum St. Good Hunting Terry
