    3. Hi all Does anyone know if there are full transcripts of the Warrington Parish records or Bishops transcripts that one can purchase/see online? I want to check the records for any Armitage births in Warrington for the period 1817 to 1830 but can't get to the Record Office personally. I know that other counties have collated and published such records, as I have purchased the Wiltshire records while tracing my husband's family. Can anyone help please? Thanks Heather

Hi, My guess is you mean the Lancashire BMD site (one of the best county BMD sites around) http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk/index.html You can also try the national FreeBMD site http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ and this site give you a variety of BMD links (free and paid) http://www.ukbmd.org.uk/index.php hope one of them helps Anthony Some time ago I was able to look up some births etc on what I would now assume was a Lancashire index site where the references were in the main prefixed with "b" or "c" (e.g. 8b/192, 8c/140, 8c/151 etc.) for Liverpool, Oldham, Warrington etc. births.
