    3. Dear Georgina, I'll print out a copy and take the request with me. If someone does respond before tuesday, please let me know so I don't duplicate the effort. It looks life the marriage should be on FHL film 1562971. I don't see an index on familysearch.org for the parish registers for that time, but that is not a problem.Three months of microfilm is not a lot to look through. 3. It appears that the Training College was actually in Liverpool, but affiliated to Warrington. Warrington Training College, Liverpool - http://www.liv.ac uk/tqsd/collabprov/history.htm In 1938, Warrington Training College was re-named St Katharine's Training College. The associations continued until 1946, when C.F. Mott Training College, Prescot became a further member of the Board. In 1949, in accordance with proposals from the Ministry of Education (formerly the Board of Education) an area training organisation was established known as The Liverpool Institute of Education. Jo

    2. Sharon Pritchett
    3. Do you even have attributions for these photos? I have not worked in rights for visual images, but I have for written works, and there is an industry standard for how much can be quoted in another work before permission must be obtained, in addition to the time limits on copyrights. Is what you have suggested the industry standard? If not, you could probably find that out with a google search. 2. Jo
    3. I personally will be happy to give up copyright if anyone wishes to use the photos I've uploaded, if people want to use them for their own personal use. I suggest if you're NOT happy to do that, then it might be best not to upload them in the first place. That's the problem with sharing via the internet I guess. Jo

    3. Hi Ian & Celia, I remember as a child a pub called the Blue Back off Horsemarket Street, it was at the end of two streets that met at an angle - like a wedge shape & the pub sign was a soldier with white trousers & a blue coat holding a rifle. If I remember rightly it was near the old fire station. 3. The photos are fantastic and it has given me a slight issue that we need to resolve. What are we going to say about the copyright of the photos? Do we treat them as public domain so that we can all use them in our family tree reports/web-sites as long as they aren't for commercial purposes. What think you all? Alan

    1. [LAN-WARR] Training College photo
    2. Jo
    3. Tigger has pointed out to me that this photo of the 'Training College' might not belong to OUR Warrington. Has anyone any ideas or know anything about this? Also, the ruins on Tanners Lane have now been demolished. I believe I took that photo in 2003, so it doesn't surprise me. The area is now being re-developed, but the scruffy hut that contains TP Textiles still remains, and building work hasn't yet started. Jo

    3. Please do NOT laugh.... When I took the photograph of the statue suggestions welcome', I stepped back and didn't realise I was on a plinth, therefore I fell onto my bottom hurting myself quite badly. So, at no point did I think to figure out where I was nor who he was, stood standing there pointing and holding a gun! Fair gave me a fright he did. Tigger has kindly said he'd try to find out for us. Thanks again Tigger. Jo list admin

I'm not a photographer but am willing to traipse about the place with a camera when I have free time! Though I have digital and wet film SLR cameras I don't have a scanner, so my collection of local postcards, Centenary Theatre programmes and Joseph Crosfield documentation won't be available online any time soon. 3. I had family in Stockton Heath from about 1800, and also some in Appleton. I love the photobucket gallery--thanks so much-- and if anyone has any pictures from those two areas, particularly older ones that may have approximated what the area was like for those who lived their prior to the invention of photography, I'd be grateful to see them posted. I know some ancestors were canal workers, and would love to see pictures of such labourers. Early husbandmen and other agricultural endeavors would interest me also.
