    1. St Paul Warrington
    2. In reply to Deborah Warrington Library do have some information on St Paul - have taken down a few notes from the baptism and burials entries for various surnames - if you would like a copy please let me know - from memory I think the information they hold in the Warrington library is limited to a small number of years. Regards Brenda (Conley)

    3. Dear LIsters, I have recently discovered a family christening which took place at St Paul, Warrington in 1832 (BVRI 2). My efforts to locate this church in the present have proved fruitless. Does anyone have information as to what happened to St Paul and when? Where might records be found? Any reply gratefully received. Best regards, Deborah

    3. Hello Deborah. Not all the years you asked for are covered on the BVRI2 Farnworth Prescot Marriages are covered from 1838. Warrington Marriages for the years 1820/30 not included Baptisms William Skelhorn Hill born Aug 1828, Prescot, not listed Farnworth Prescot although the year is covered. Found this Baptism in Warrington, although you would need a copy of the register for any other details. HALL, Nancy Garnett Christening Gender: Female Christening Date: 26 Aug 1832 Recorded in: Warrington, Lancashire, England Collection: St Paul Father: Richard Littler HALL Mother: Mary Don't know if this is any help, but from another source I found the following marriage, a copy of the register may give more details. Richard Littler HALL to Mary GARNETT on 15 August 1830, by banns at St Wilfrid's Grappenhall. Just spotted there is an obvious connection with the above bap and marriage, hope they are yours! 3. Hi Pauline, The first church post reformation 1700`s? was St Alban Bewsey Street Warrington and it is still there, it also covers Sacred Heart . The next eldest is St. Mary`s Buttermarket St. then St Benedict`s Rhodes St .and Our Lady`s St Marys St. Latchford and St Oswald Padgate Lane. With the exception of St Mary`s (who`s School Closed a few years ago) they all have Junior schools, All B.M.D records are kept at the churches some of the very early records for St Alban`s are held at Preston Records Office, as Warrington used to be in Lancashire pre 1974. Good luck Terry
