I am searching for the parents of Thomas Stanistreet b. abt 1822. His father was listed as Thomas Stanistreet on his marriage license. He was born in Warrington and married Isabelle Johnson also b. abt 1822 in Westmoreland. They were married in Eccles so I wonder if she was related to the Johnsons from Warrington. Peter Rimmer was a witness. I have found the Rimmers and Johnsons to have a connect- ion in Warrington. Also I am interested in the Hardmans. My grandfather Walter Hodgkiss married Emily Hardman in 1895 in Whit Lane. Her father was Edward Hardman a beetler or butler. Hello everyone, Many thanks to Sue and Pamela who have been of such assistance to me regarding the McDOWELL family in Warrington. It is great that people are willing to share their resources. When Ellen McDowell married Jonathan ACTON in 1854 at St Paul's, Warrington her address was given as 'Corn Market'. I haven't been able to locate this so it has probably been redeveloped or renamed.
