    2. I am searching for the parents of Thomas Stanistreet b. abt 1822. His father was listed as Thomas Stanistreet on his marriage license. He was born in Warrington and married Isabelle Johnson also b. abt 1822 in Westmoreland. They were married in Eccles so I wonder if she was related to the Johnsons from Warrington. Peter Rimmer was a witness. I have found the Rimmers and Johnsons to have a connect- ion in Warrington. Also I am interested in the Hardmans. My grandfather Walter Hodgkiss married Emily Hardman in 1895 in Whit Lane. Her father was Edward Hardman a beetler or butler. Does anyone know if there was an occupation that had a beetler? thanks, Barbara S.

    3. Hi Listers, I was just wondering if you would all like to chip in and tell us who you're looking for. The list has gone a bit quiet of late, and I'd like to generate some interest. PLEASE change the "subject" line so it's relevant too - there s nothing worse for me than getting a whole lot of e-mails with the subject line as "Roll Call" - THANKS! We don't really need your complete tree, but a list of names/dates you're stuck on may spark some helpful replies. I'm always around to try to help you if you're stuck too - just send the usual e-mail either to the list, or privately to me at [email protected] Jo list boss :o)) .

    3. Hello everyone, Many thanks to Sue and Pamela who have been of such assistance to me regarding the McDOWELL family in Warrington. It is great that people are willing to share their resources. When Ellen McDowell married Jonathan ACTON in 1854 at St Paul's, Warrington her address was given as 'Corn Market'. I haven't been able to locate this so it has probably been redeveloped or renamed. Does anyone who perhaps lives in Warrington know about this area? Regards Joy
