Dear all, I discovered just last week that my great great grandfather William Kent was born about 1806 in Middleton Lancashire. This was according to the 1851 census when he was living in Bermondsay. I had no idea previously that my ancestors came from Lancashire so I want to learn more - by distance as i live in Syney, Australia. William's grandson also William immigrated about 1887. any information about Middleton and life in past times will be interesting to me. Judith Lee nee Kent.
