Another photo/postcard in our family collection is a studio portrait of a young woman. The message on the back says:- Mr Dear Cousins, Can you recognise me after five years, how are you all getting along. I suppose you miss your mother a great deal. The coachman here was with Mrs Wild's Husband in America when he died. Love to you all, Mary Burgess. The 'cousins' referred to are probably my husband's BENTLEY ancestors, who lived in the Middleton area. The card has probably come from North America as it has the AZO trademark & 'place one cent stamp here' in the top corner. If anyone thinks they may be able to identify Mary, or would like to see the photo, I would be happy to hear from you.
