    3. Hi Janet, I may be well off the mark here, but I'll send my thoughts anyway. There may be a place near Middleton that I don't know called Healds Green. However, the only place that I know that has a similar name is Heald Green (without the s) in Cheshire (quite close to Manchester Airport). I lived a few miles away from there from being a small baby in the 1950s until my early 20s. I do remember that there was a large dairy called 'Healds' in the area. I don't know if this has any relevance. 3. Hi Trish Thanks for your response, but Healds Green and Heald Green are two entirely different places. By coincidence, I live about 2 miles from Heald Green near Manchester Airport! (There's still a dairy there, or at least a milk-distribution depot, but it's no longer called Healds). Healds Green is on the mid-1850s map on http://www.old-maps.co.uk site, it's just to the north of Chadderton. Thanks for the interest anyway, Janet >From: "Trisha Roberts" <trisharoberts@tesco.net> >I may be well off the mark here, but I'll send my thoughts anyway.
