Gracie (Stansfield) Fields did of course come from Rochdale but Lisa Stansfield's family moved to Bamford from Heywood. They lived on the opposite site of the road from my parents for many years. Lisa'a dad is a client of mine and his parents had a shop in Heywood when he was young. The families could connect way back I suppose must remember to ask the next time I see Mr Stansfield. Regards.
