EMERSON Marriage by banns. 22 August 1791 St Mary's, Prestwich Robert Emerson (didn't sign) of this parish to Hannah Hilton (didn't sign) of Middleton. Witnesses Thomas Hilton and Thomas Lees. The couple had many children baptised at St Leonard's Middleton. The EMERSON family lived in the Birch area but I have not researched Hannah Hilton's family as yet, so any connection would be very welcome.     3. I am sending John Devlin an attachment off list containing HILTON baptisms from 1805 at St Leonards Middleton. HILTON is connected to my MOULT line in Middleton. as Doreen says they are a prolific lot.
