Hi John, Sorry I can't help with your Fishers directly. However, I wondered, did you know what regimant John William served in ? If so then you may be able to find him on the commonwealth war graves commision site and that might give you the name of his wife if he had one = http://www.cwcg.org , further useful sites for more details about regiments and where they went / battle details = http://www.1914-1918.net and http://www.regiments.org. Using these sites I managed to trace the steps of my Great uncle all the way through WW1, they really are good and my Gran said that it was more information than even his parents had as he was killed in 1918. Just a thought. Laura V.
Hi Laura I think that you meant to type http://www.cwgc.org for the Commonwealth War Graves site, the other one is offering compensation or something to American citizens.
