    3. Mossley is in valley of the River Tame as it runs up into the Pennine moors south east of Oldham, Middleton is to the north west, on the opposite side of Oldham. They're about 6 miles apart as the crow flies. Mossley Rd nowadays is the A670 starting in Ashton under Lyne and travelling north east. In Mossley itself it now changes name to Stamford St and Stockport Rd becoming Mossley Rd again when the A670 branches off towards Greenfield where it changes name again. The A670 itself then runs into the A62 which goes over the Pennines to Huddersfield. If you can find a couple of street names round the corner I could possibly pinpoint the location more precisely. I can see 7 Mills and 1 Works marked in Mossley.
