    3. Thanks to those who responded to my enquiry about Lancashire census name indexes. To help colleagues I'm happy to look up the odd address in the Lancashire censuses on CD-ROMs for townships where the street index exists. Sorry, it just takes too long to trawl for names without an address. 3. If you do happen to have a minute I would be grateful if you have the 1871 census for Manchester and could see who was living at 10 TEIGNMOUTH STREET, in the Ecclesiastical District of St Georges, municipal Ward of St Michaels in Manchester. The family that I am interested in and were there in 1861 are William Humfries (this spelling is not easy to read on the 1861 census and could just as easy be Humfriles) plus his age is not easy to read but I think it was 45 in 1861 and he was a Brick Maker born in Chester, Cheshire. Hannah Humfries, wife, age 46, Nurse, born Denbigh, Denbighshire. Margaret Humfries age 19, cotton weaver, born Denbigh, Denbighshire. Ann Humfries, age 10, born Ardwick, Lancashire and Frederick Humfires, age 6, born Ardwick, Lancashire. (These are all the 1861 details) Thanks very much Sandy and John Devlin ----- Original Message ----- From: "Edward Reid-Smith" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, March 07, 2004 7:34 AM Subject: [ENG-LAN-MIDDLETON-L] census look-ups > Thanks to those who responded to my enquiry about Lancashire census name > indexes. > > To help colleagues I'm happy to look up the odd address in the Lancashire > censuses on CD-ROMs for townships where the street index exists.
