Greetings from warm and sunny Papamoa in New Zealand. I doubt if there is going to be any connection between our families, but there is always hope. I have the following possibilities: BARLOW: a GGGgrandfather of mine, James Dawson, married Ann Barlow of Bury in Middleton on 10 Feb 1788. I think, though have no proof, that Ann's parents were Richard and Jane Barlow of Whittle. They are buried in the Middleton parish churchyard beside (I think, maybe near) Ann who died aged 23 in 1793, and also Micah Barlow of Little Heaton who died 4 Nov 1761 aged 42. Don't know where he fits in. There are so many Barlows in the area that I have given up trying to sort out the family. PARR: I am particularly interested in Ann and John Parr who were living at Birch in 1798 and around the area (Prestwich, Unsworth, Whittle) earlier, and up to the early 1800s. Then I lose them. They are the parents of my GG grandmother Hannah Parr (born 1798) who married John Wild. Ann and John probably married at Prestwich in 1785 and also had William (1786), Mary (1788 or 89), Thomas (1791), Joseph (1793), James (1796), Betty (1800) and Sally (1804). ISHERWOOD: I have a great aunt who married an Isherwood, but all the information on them relates to Heywood. Is any of this of interest?
