Hi again Ivy, The 1891 census shows a James Anderton (labourer) and wife living at number 9. There is no entry for that number on the 1901, so perhaps the mill was built between 1891 and 1901? Hi Doreen Yes I think you must be right, it just seemed strange to me when I saw that address on Alan's email, I don't think that has ever happened to me before you often see addresses that are in a street that you know and I have often gone and looked up a house for someone, but to see one that I recognised and new to be such a big building was strange.
