At this point the only way I can confirm this is my grandparents Heywood marriage license which lists John Whalley as the father, and Thomas Whalley as the witness, for John Whalley. I am going to try to get to the UK in 05, but are there other routes to substantiate this that I can follow online from Melbourne? Again, thanks for helping. I do enjoy this online community!
