Hi List, Just doing a look up as a favour for a chappie in the USA. I have checked the birth index for twins Mary and Edmund Lord born 13 Jan 1862 in the Heywood area and found two entries at both Bury and at Rochdale; However I would have expected the two babies to have consecuative birth entries but neither of the two registration districts came up with a consecutive pair of numbers. Mary Lord 8c 432 Bury Jan Feb Mar quarter 1862 Edmund Lord 8c 435 Bury Jan Feb Mar quarter 1862 Mary Lord 8e 37 Rochdale Jan Feb Mar quarter 1862 Edmund Lord 8e 44 Rochdale Jan Feb Mar quarter 1862 For those of you who don`t know, Rochdale is about three miles to the east of Heywood and Bury about three miles to the west. Has anyone experience of birth entries for twins c1862 as I really do not like to trouble the registrars office if I can avoid it. Kind regards Sylvia
