Does sks on the list have access to the 1851 or 1861 census for Heywood. I am trying to find my GGG grandparents and families. Robert & Jane ASHWORTH who were living at 15 Dawson St, Heywood in August 1851 when their daughter Mary was born. And John & Alice ALEXANDER living at 2 Earl St, Heywood in April 1851 when son Thomas was born. I would appreciate any help or contact from anyone who connects. Ann, Little River, Australia.

Hi Ann, Your Alexander family are at 9 Cheetham St. Heywood in 1861 with Children Thomas, Mary Jane, Amos and Charlotte........ An Amos and his wife Alice had children Harold and Clara baptised at the New Jerusalem Church if it is of interest. I also have a reference to a Harold and Emma having a son Frank baptised at the same church in 1917................. I do not have any family connections with these Alexander's but if you are connected please mail me off list and I can put you in touch with someone who has researched this family fully.
