Hallo Diane, Sylvia and Joan, I believe I am descended from Betty Woolfenden and James Wilde, who married at Oldham Parish Church on 11 April 1814, but I haven't confirmed it yet. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has links to this family. Diane: one reason for the long gap between Henry and Mary Ann could be the death of Ann, and James's consequent re-marriage several years later. This has happened at least once in my ancestry.
