    3. Hi Bert ... Can't yet say whether connected or not. I am stuck with James and wife Ann starting their family about 1817 in Oldham. I know that James came from Rochdale, was a hatter and no idea of parentage or siblings! No children named Betty either. Unfortunately, a not uncommon name for the period! Drats! As for the gap ... James and Ann were married until death ... as someone on another list said ... the last daughter might have been an "oops!" baby! I will keep Betty in mind if I ever figure out the parentage of James! Diane :-) -----Original Message----- From: Herbert Pemberton [mailto:pembie2@hotmail.com] Sent: Sunday, September 18, 2005 4:47 AM To: ENG-LAN-MIDDLETON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: RE: [ENG-LAN-MIDDLETON-L] Wolfenden/Wolfenden ... Rochdale & Oldham Hallo Diane, Sylvia and Joan, I believe I am descended from Betty Woolfenden and James Wilde, who married at Oldham Parish Church on 11 April 1814, but I haven't confirmed it yet. I would be interested to hear if anyone else has links to this family. Diane: one reason for the long gap between Henry and Mary Ann could be the death of Ann, and James's consequent re-marriage several years later. This has happened at least once in my ancestry. Kind regards, Bert Pemberton. ----- Original Message ----- > > From: "Diane Richard" <dianelr@nc.rr.com> > > To: <ENG-LAN-MIDDLETON-L@rootsweb.com> > > Sent: Saturday, September 10, 2005 7:57 PM > > Subject: [ENG-LAN-MIDDLETON-L] Wolfenden/Woolfenden ...
