Hi Diane, I have just checked the Leigh's 1818 trade directory for Rochdale, Heywood, Bury areas. Surprisingly only 2 Woolfendens/Wolfendens listed ...... Rochdale, Yorkshire St = Elizabeth Woolfenden, baker and flour dealer. Rochdale, Cheetham St, John Woolfenden Tailor.
