Hi Dorothy, Hope all is well, Just spotted this on ebay and thought it may connect to your Wild's. Vellum indenture dated 11th Feb 1852 and principly names Samual Morton Peto from Somerleyton? Hull, Suffolk and Edward Ladd Betts from Preston Hall in Kent and Samual Wild from Middleton in Lancaster a Coal proprietor, the document concerns a 999year lease for land called Buerdshill Head in Thornham in Middleton in the County of Lancaster, the west part butting the turnpike road from Rochdale to Oldham, Very ornate first 2 words to the document illustrated with hand drawn plan, 2 red wax seals and 2 signatures to the bottom of the document. The sale is nothing to do with me, I just noticed it as I was checking through for anything of local interest. Thanks very much Sylvia for thinking of me. I don't think it fits in to my family at all, but it would have been wonderful if it had, and I wouldn't have seen it on EBay! I've just added another photo postcard from my collection to my blog site http://sharejansphotos.blogspot.com/ and if any of you know anything that might help identify either the people or the place, I would be delighted to hear from you. There is a torn-off label on the bottom of the card, which says 'Healds' and I'm presuming this is Healds Green. The adddressee, Miss E A BENTLEY, was my husband's grandmother, who was born in Tonge, Middleton, in January 1890.
