Recently there has been several postings about Hiltons. I know that there are an awful lot of Hiltons in the area, but just in case they tie in with someone elses, here are mine. John Hilton, born in 1865. Tonge, Middleton. He married Hannah Davies 31 January 1885 at St Michaels Church, Tonge. According to the marriage cert, his father was John Hilton, deceased. John & Hannah had 7 children as far as I know. Harold b. 1889; Fred b. 1891; Robert b. 1893; Mary A. b. 1895; May b. 1897; Malinda(census spelling) b. 1899 & Annie b. 1900.
