Hi Maggie, To the best of my knowledge St Luke's Heywood was not registered for marriages until the start of civil registration in July 1837. Most marriages in the Chapelry took place at St Mary's Bury the mother church. Chadwick is certainly a local name. The Lancashire Family History Society have indexed the Bury PC marriages. Do you have an address from the son's baptism? It could help with the parish the family lived in and where the marriage took place. Good luck.
