My Great Great Grandfather Edmund Hilton was born 1808 in Middleton. I am looking for any information on him. I would be interested in his chistening and the 1841 census. Thanks Marshall Hilton

Hi Marshall, I have photocopies from the baptism registers at St Leonards 1807-1812. I have "part" transcribed these, but from the 2,000 baps there are 235 without names at present as the films are very poor. Will be checking the original registers from this week. However, there are 2 x Edmund Hiltons, one in the year you req. 22 May 1808. Edmund s/o Joseph and Mary Hilton. Weaver of Middleton. 14 Jan 1810. Edmund s/o James and Alice Hilton. Marshall I too am researching HILTON. I do have an Excel Spreadsheet with the Hiltons listed. I will forward it to you off list. I do have an Edmund HILTON listed.
