Hi Doreen Thanks for the answer to the uniform query, and your stab at the football one. The family did live in the Tonge area, so that is a possibility. If I have time when I get up to Middleton library, I may have a look through the local papers - Sports reports - as maybe the team won something that year and that's why they had their photo taken. I misled you with the 3rd photo - I think that one would have been taken either on the Wirral or in the Thornton Cleveleys area. Thanks for your help - much appreciated, as usual.
