    3. I have a Thomas Calland who Married an Elizabeth Seddon at St Mary the Virgin, Deane on 7th Oct 1731. The most likely birth/Christening, for Thomas, that I can see on the IGI is one in 1715. However this does not show any church or father but it states that this Thomas married Alice Mitchell in 1740. As these details have been submitted to the IGI are they wrong? or did Thomas marry twice?. Elizabeth had her last child in 1740, was that the time of her demise? I have a gut feeling that Thomas,s baptism in 1715ish would have taken place in St Mary's, Deane. St Peters, Bolton Le Moors or St Mary the Virgin, Leigh, in that order of priority. Because I am at the other end of the country and not likely to be in the area until next spring, it would be greatly appreciated if SKS could bear this in mind when next looking at these Leigh parish records and assist me with this brick wall. Bob Howard, Hampshire.
