    2. Hi, Could SKP please tell me if it is possible to buy the 1871 Lancashire Census on-line? My son is willing to buy this for me for Xmas, but he ordered it from a company on-line and it is not due out until next year. Thank for your help. Pat in Kent.

    3. Hello to all, I am trying to locate information on my gr gr grandfather Joseph Bickerdyke who came to New Jersey, USA with his wife Matilda and son Israel. They were in the 1881 British Census in Dukinfield, Cheshire and had their first American born child in NJ in 1886. The census indicates that Joseph and Matilda were both born in Newton, Cheshire. I am trying to find the family background and on which ship they came over. I found an envelope addressed to Joseph Bickerdyke dated 1913 with a return address of: J Bickerdyke 230 Firs Lane, Leigh Lancashire England There was no letter in the envelope. Is anyone able to give me a lead as to the family line in England? I did find that Joseph's first wife Sarah is buried in the Dukinfield cemetary. Thank you, Kathy kathyo@kennett.net
