Hi, My name is Ann Millar and I am researching the Inghams from the Kenyon area and surrounds. The earliest reference I have that the Inghams orignated from this area is from the 1841 census 11. HO107524-10 PG 9 KENYON, LANCASHIRE AMBROSE INGHAM/55/ SILK WEAVER/YES/ SARAH INGHAM/50/YES/ JOSEPH INGHAM/ 20/YES/ PETER INGHAM/20/YES/ JOHN INGHAM/13/YES// I am specifically after any references to Joseph Ingham. At some stage after between 1841 and 1855 Joseph married Christina McLellan of Scotland and lived in Manchester for the rest of his life. He worked all his life on the railways and died in 1898. I know nothing of this area nor of its history either the village Kenyon or the silk weaving industry nor the railways, I would love to hear from anyone with information on any of these topics. regards, Ann M
