Hello Dorothea I don't have any MORTs on my family tree as yet but do have a MORT mystery. I have a letter of 1917 address to my great, great aunt Betsy ROYLE of Pendlebury from a Manchester firm of solictors. It would appear that she thought she was due an inheritance from the will of a William MORT dating back to 1856. She never got the legacy and I don't know what the relationship was. All families have will arguments and the ROYLEs more than most. I know there was a problem with a will on the GREENHALGH side of her family.
