My g-grandfather was Richard Aldred b. 1829 in Leigh, d. 6 Oct . 1889 in Leigh. He married Anne (?) b. abt. 1833 in Northwich, Cheshire, m. abt 1852. They had Samuel 1852, William,July 1856, Martha 1859, Emily 1861, Annie, Betsy 1863, Richard 1865, Charlotte 1872. William was my grandfather who came to USA abt 1880. My grandmother was Emma Humphreys who had a daughter Annie born in England 12 Nov. 1879. Other family names were Cunliffe, Hindle. 1881 British gave Richrds's address as: 376 Leigh Road, Leigh.
