    3. Dear Allan: I am also interested in the Birchall Family of Lowton, Lancashire as a parallel line. William Birchall emigrated to the United States, specifically Yorkville, Wisconsin in 1848. His parents, Thomas and Ann (Collier) Birchall followed sometime later. My direct interest is that Joseph Collier, my g-g-grandfather came with his cousins, William Birchall, Joshua Boydell, and Joshua Collier on the YORKTOWN on 28 September 1848, all came to Yorkville Township, Racine County, Wisconsin and all lived there for some time. I work with another researcher, Mary Anne Falk, who is a direct Birchall researcher, from the line of Thomas and Ann (Collier) Birchall. Also, the above named Joshua Collier married Alice HURST, who was the daughter of George HURST and Alice (MORT) Hurst. There is also quite a website titled, The MORT Family, which includes their Lancashire ties as well as their emigration story in the United States. http://www.lafuente.net/mort/ Mary Ann Falk has compiled a book titled, Sylvania Cemetery, Racine County, Wisconsin, Exploring Family Ties on-line at: http://www.jansdigs.com/Racine/Sylvania.html There are a number of the Leigh surname that appear in this book besides Birchall, Collier, and Boydell so it may also be of interest to other Leigh researchers. It is much more than a cemetery index, it really is a history constructed from cemetery records of many Lancashire families who emigrated to the United States. Contact if interest. Otherwise, happy researching!
