    3. Hi Patricia, Thanks for writing so extensively. I have now checked out the MORT website briefly, but with interest, and look forward to returning to it later. It seems that BIRCHALL was a common name in the Leigh, Lowton and Ashton areas. My grandmother was Emily BIRCHALLs in the tree below. If you see any connections, or have any further information to add I would be pleased to hear from you. I do have the 18th century parish records on fiche for Winwick church (which included Lowton) and I would be pleased to do any look-ups if you need any look ups.
