Originally it was created from left over vegetables and cooked with a meat (usually lamb) to create a broth/stew. Very tasty. Wiganers take meat and potatoes out of the broth, wrap them in pastry and call it a pie. (hehe) I guess we need to stop bashing Wiganers - that's not what we created the list for even if it is a very valid reason. DAVE
