Dear Gill and Jim I hope I am not sticking my nose in but the lady in question was always known as Fish Lill and she had a permanent stall on Leigh market for as long as I can remember, it was at the church end of Back Salford alongside the end wall of the Bluebell pub which faced the side of St, Mary's Parish church. The Tram's used to run until about 1934 then the trolley buses took their place. I did not see the original message so I don't know what information you required, I hope I have not got hold of the wrong end of the stick. Cheers Tom.
