    3. Hi Dave, I went to Leigh Grammar School and there was a boy in my class named Donald Clare 1947-1952. His father had a wines and spirits shop in Elliot Street Tyldesley, where I was brought up.You could look in the Trade directories for the business. If you have any queries about the Leigh area I will try to answer them. Good luck in your searches. Yours, Bernie Davies, Ottawa. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dave" <davey.gravey@sympatico.ca> To: <ENG-LAN-LEIGH-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, May 27, 2003 3:37 PM Subject: [(ENG-LEIGH)] Clare > Just to make sure that Bob does not get lonely here is a Canadian message: > > Looking for any references to the name CLARE in the Leigh area. > My G/G/granny was Rachel Clare b. abt 1801 and bapt. abt 1805 > She married James STANDISH in Huyton 1822. > > Feel better now Bob? > > Regards Dave D. > > > ==== ENG-LAN-LEIGH Mailing List ==== > Our list covers the following towns: Leigh (inc.
