Posting interest in William Shaw born 1 May 1794 Lowton, son of James Shaw William married Mary around 1825 and was found in the 1824 Liverpool directory as a Licenced Victualler at the Commercial Tavern. He was also found in the 1840 Liverpool Directory as a Victualler of the Black Horse Tavern at Old Swan. (Edge of West Derby) William & Mary's children were Elizabeth Walmsley Shaw B:4 Nov 1825 Thomas Walmsley Shaw B: 21 Sep 1828 James Stephen Walmsley Shaw B: 8 Nov 1831 Mary Shaw B: 25 Jul 1833 William Shaw may have come from a family of Tavern Owners.
